Aditya Rawal played the role of Nibras in this Hansal Mehta directorial. His character is the lead who was at the helm of the terror attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka in 2016. The film addresses a battle between humanity and religion. Aditya plays a conflicted and layered character where we see him switch places between being menacing and humane but the extreme hate has crowded his judgement of what’s right and wrong.

Anil Kapoor played the role of a rich industrialist who goes by the name Balbir Singh. At one point we see Anil Kapoor as Kailash, his onscreen body double too. His character brings his acting talent out in full form as he essays the role of a helpless father, incapable of expressing his emotions to his son who worships his father and considers him at par with god.

Bobby Deol plays the role of Abrar Haque in Animal who is also a mute person in the film. His entire antagonistic character revolves around seeking vengeance from his estranged cousin Ranvijay. He is on a journey to seek revenge because of how he lost his wife and unborn child when Zoya (Katrina Kaif) hijacks his plan to kill a Pakistani general in foreign territories.

Tota Roy Chowdhury (Chandon Chatterjee) plays the role of Rani Chatterjee’s (Alia Bhatt) father in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He’s a Kathak teacher and belongs to a liberal family who let him follow his dreams. As a man who loves Kathak, he masters the dance form and plays the role of a doting father perfectly in the film. An established Bengali actor who’s done many Hindi projects earlier, he has received deserving appreciation for his portrayal.
