The VFX in Animal is so lifelike that it doesn’t look like VFX. It’s mainly used in action sequences, and you just want to watch them on loop because they’re simply gorgeous. It’s also used in aircraft scenes and makes flying a plane look easy.

The film takes place in 1971 and as there’s no permission to shoot in Pakistan, the makers relied heavily on VFX to recreate places from our neighbouring country. The graphics make the period details come alive and how.

Pataan was a crazy thrill ride, alright, and the engine was fuelled by some top quality computer graphics. If you thought that the train actually fell into the chasm during the rescue scene, well, think again. It was all done through VFX. The helicopter fight sequence had oodles of VFX in it. And so did the climax scene.
