One of the most awaited films for the past two years has been Kabir Khan’s ’83 that tells the story of India’s epic win at Lords against England to win the first ever World Cup in 1983. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead as captain Kapil Dev and brings together actors from different regions of the country to provide authenticity and conviction to the other team members. Actors like Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Harddy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khatter and many other brilliant actors.
One actor who’s making his first Hindi film debut is Adinath Kothare who plays Dilip Vengsarkar. He is a famous and loved actor in Marathi cinema and is all set for the world to see him in ’83. Not just movies, he’s also made his debut as a director with Priyanka Chopra’s production, Paani that has already won a National Award.
With the pandemic and closing of the theatres, both the movies have faced indefinite delays in release. Giving us an update and talking about his experience, Adinath Kothare had a candid chat with us.
