2023 has been a stellar year for more reasons than one. Not only the roaring success at the box office by some of the most revered superstars in the Hindi film industry, but their personal lives too have been episodic and memorable in multiple ways as several milestones were achieved. Celeb weddings are one trend in this generation that shall never go out of trend. It’s been sort of a boom in the wedding industry that is trendsetting in every department. From couture bridal ensembles to minimal makeup looks to braided hairdos, the common folks have been tremendously influenced by these style statements and have tried emulating them for their weddings too.
Some of the bridal entrances such as the Sid-Kiara moment to Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Msira’s intimate pastel wedding with their families and friends. Parineeti Chopra’s white wedding with Raghav Chadha and her penning down a song for him was quite the rage too. The year closed with the pleasantly surprising wedding of Arbaaz Khan and Sshura Khan, no prior intimation was guessed before they tied the knot at home, surrounded by people closest to their hearts.

KL Rahul - Athiya Shetty
Ace cricketer KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty tied the knot on January 23, 2023. Their wedding was all the more special as it took place in Suniel Shetty’s sprawling farmhouse in Khandala. 2023 began with the pastel wedding trend yet again as they too opted for a mix of pink and white ensembles for the wedding trousseau. It was a simple wedding indeed and one of the many celeb power couples who had never officially announced being together. Amongst their friends, Diana Penty, Anushka Ranjan Kapoor, and Anshula Kapoor were a few of the stars who were seen attending the wedding.
Masaba Gupta- Satyadeep Misra
Being one of the most celebrated designers herself, it didn't come as a surprise when Masaba Gupta’s wedding outfit was out-of-the-box and had the signature Masaba signature style. Her wedding pictures were dreamy and felt homely and warm as the entire family got together - Vivian Richards, Neena Gupta and her stepfather Vivek Mehra. Masaba looked gorgeous in a bubblegum pink and mint green lehenga while Satyadeep went for a pastel pink kurta set. Her entire family was decked up in quintessential Masaba attires with quirky prints. Her beautiful caption with the family portrait from the ceremony read, "For the first time - My whole life came together. This is us. My beautiful blended family. Everything from here on is just a bonus," Masaba re-defined modern relationships gracefully. Masaba and Satyadeep worked together on the OTT series Masaba Masaba.
Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani
The two lovebirds tied the knot on February 7 in a luxurious hotel in Jaisalmer. Though having dated for a while, they had never officially confirmed their relationship. The two had fallen head over heels in love with each other while shooting their blockbuster film Shershaah. Kiara’s bridal entry to a reprised version of Raanjha trended on social media for several days. Kiara walking towards him while Sidharth making signs of how late she was was all things adorable. Kiara, like many Bollywood divas lately, chose a pastel lehenga for her wedding. Their captions for the wedding pictures were perfect as they took a dialogue out of their film, "Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai."

Parineeti Chopra - Raghav Chadha
Who can forget the viral throwback video of Parineeti Chopra saying that she will never marry a politician, “Ever!” Cut to September and rumours of her tying the knot with her college mate Raghav Chadha were all over the news. Soon they tied the knot on September 24 against the beautiful backdrop of Udaipur. Clad in a sequined cream and white Manish Malhotra lehenga and a statement emerald necklace, Parineeti looked regal. Parineeti Chopra had also recorded a song O Maahi for Raghav which was one of the sweetest gestures ever and was further proof of Parineeti's singing talent.
Randeep Hooda - Lin Laishram
One of its kind, Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot on November 29 in Manipur. Following traditional Meitei rituals, their wedding was unique and had them dressed in their cultural garments too. They had crossed each other’s paths during their early theatre days and have been together for the longest time. Lin looked lovely all decked up in rich golden jewellery. Big names like Ratna Pathak Shah, Jackie Bhagnani, Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were seen marking their presence at the wedding.
Arbaaz Khan - Sshura Khan
The last of the year and a sudden one to say the least, Arbaaz Khan and Sshura Khan tied the knot on December 24, at Arbaaz’s sister Arpita Sharma’s residence. All family members including Salim Khan, Salman Khan, Helen, Aayush Sharma, close industry friends Raveena Tandon, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh and even Arbaaz’s son Arhaan were seen attending the wedding ceremony. An intimate but wholesome affair and the happy wedding pictures were brimming with joy.
As the year comes to a close, glancing back at all the celeb weddings that took place gives ample proof that it was probably one of the biggest post the year when Deepika-Ranveer, Priyanka-Nick and Sonam-Anand all tied the knot the same year. Celeb weddings continue to be a source of immense fascination from the grandeur of the mandap to the location to the looks curated for their big day. The different celeb-weddings seen this year all went viral online for different reasons, while some were talked about for their long-withstanding relationship before they took the plunge, some were discussed for the twist of fate, as seen in Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s case.
