It was raining stars from big names like Margot Robbie who seemed still to be pretty much in her Barbie era as she opted for the 1977 Superstar Barbie doll outfit. Statement-making ruffles, long trains, bodycon silhouettes, sequins and metal fabrics reigned supreme as forever-trending style statements. Colour palettes had a mix of scarlet to pastel hues as the current trend demands. This event has had a legacy of some of the most iconic ensembles witnessed from the much-talked-about Schiaparelli voluminous outfit of Rihanna to the pinstriped skirt suit sported by Julia Roberts in 1991, Hillary Swank’s maternity look from Prada made heads turn as did the spiderweb dress with studded crystals sported by Jessica Chastain which was an instant newsmaker. This year, all eyes were on the regulars such as Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Emily Blunt and Emma Stone to name a few and they sure didn’t disappoint as they dazzled at the ceremony with their chosen wardrobe-essentials.
Here’s a look at the best-dressed women at the event:

The lower fit had a scalloped design to it and like they say, less is more! Minimal makeup with those sparkling blue eyes made her stand out.

Keeping it simple and elegant, Reese Witherspoon went for a pastel pink and black bodycon gown. The sheer gown was all about the drama as was her foxy silver hair in a faux hawk-inspired style. The statement diamond necklace and earrings were the perfect touches to her sexy outfit.
