Imtiaz Ali’s next, Amar Singh Chamkila is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, the film revolves around the untold true story of Punjab’s original rockstar of the masses, the highest record-selling artist of his time, Amar Singh Chamkila, often referred to as the Elvis Presley of Punjab.
The release date of Amar Singh Chamkila is set for April 12, 2024. The makers dropped a short announcement clip on Monday. Check it out here:
The music for the film was composed by AR Rahman while Irshad Kamli penned the lyrics. We also know that both Diljit and Parineeti have lent their voices to the film.
The film will showcase live music recordings done on locations capturing the rawness and the exuberance of each moment as Diljit & Parineeti sing live in the Akhadaas.
