Fresh images from the upcoming film Joker 2 have been unveiled, featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in their romantic phase. Joker 2, also known as Joker: Folie à Deux, sees the return of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and marks the debut of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Director Todd Phillips shared new stills of the on-screen pair on Instagram as a Valentine's Day treat for fans.
The photos offer a peek at Phoenix in his Joker persona, with Gaga alongside him as Harley.
The initial picture showed Phoenix and Gaga standing on stage with a spotlight shining on them. Phoenix was wearing his Joker makeup while Gaga had minimal makeup on. In the next image, the couple seemed to be sharing a touching moment, with Phoenix on one side of the bars and Gaga on the other. The third still captured Gaga and Phoenix dancing on a rooftop, with Gaga dressed in a wedding gown and Phoenix in a suit.
Sharing the stills on Instagram, Todd wrote, "Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24."
As per reports, there are rumours of Joker: Folie à Deux being a musical. During an interview with a leading news portal, Sam Slater, the music director for Joker 2, hinted at the musical aspect of the film. He confirmed his involvement in the film and mentioned that his work on Joker 2 is nearly completed.
