As per a report by a leading entertainment portal, the actor will sing the Oscar-nominated song during the annual ceremony, which is set to take place on March 10, 2024.
However, Ryan and the Academy have yet to make official comments on this news. It has been a topic of discussion whether Ryan would agree to showcase his singing abilities on the Oscar stage ever since he and the song received nominations.
Earlier, this month in an interview, Ryan stated that the Academy had not asked him to perform but shared that he is open to the idea.
In an interview with an entertainment portal at the Grammys, Mark Ronson, who co-wrote the song with Andrew Wyatt, expressed that his ultimate wish was for Ryan to take the stage at the Academy Awards.
Barbie's songs I'm Just Ken and What Was I Made For? have received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Billie Eilish and Finneas won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media for What Was I Made For? over I'm Just Ken and Dua Lipa's Dance the Night, another popular track from the film.
The Oscars 2024 will premiere on March 10 at 4 pm PT and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
